Impress your friends with this simple and easy holiday-themed spice infused Bourbon recipe.

Imagine the feeling of curling up by the fire with a glass of your favorite whiskey, except this time it is infused with a myriad of spices to give you that perfect holiday warm up.

Here are three easy steps to make Holiday Spice Infused Bourbon.

It is incredibly easy, and only takes a few simple ingredients to make. This is a fun project that you can make your own depending on what spices you choose to use.

For this Infused Bourbon use the following ingredients:

  • Bourbon Whiskey (Elijah Craig Small Batch specifically)
  • Whole Cinnamon Sticks
  • Whole Cloves
  • Whole Nutmeg
  • Whole Vanilla Bean Sticks
  • Mason Jar

You can find all of these ingredients at your local grocery store for relatively inexpensive prices.

Step 1: Prep

The first step is to prep the ingredients, and pour the bourbon in a mason jar or any air tight container.

I used Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon specifically, but the bourbon choice is entirely up to you. I also went with a medium-priced bourbon, as the spices will shine through flavor-wise. Bulleit Bourbon is another great option.

Step 2: Place

Now take your spices and place them in your container of bourbon.

We used the following spices:

  • Two Medium Cinnamon Sticks
  • Around Ten Whole Cloves
  • Two Whole Nutmegs
  • One Vanilla Bean Stick

After you place the spices, seal the container, and give it a short shake.

Step 3: Wait

Now comes the hard part, waiting for the bourbon to infuse! We recommend waiting a minimum of five days for the bourbon to infuse. You can wait longer for stronger flavors, but five days does the trick. You can take a taste test a day or two into infusing to see if you want to add any additional spices. Feel free to be creative with the spices you use. Some other options could be mulling spices, whole nutmeg, and orange peels.

I hope you enjoy this Holiday Spice Infused Bourbon. This is a great gift for friends, and the perfect beverage on a cold winter night! Cheers!
